Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This policy explains how Joe's Excellent Events & Management uses cookies, browser storage and similar storage or access technologies on this website and its secure portals.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, scripts and tags. UK rules can apply whenever a website stores information on, or accesses information from, a user's device, not only when a traditional cookie is used.
2. What our current website uses
Our current production website does not intentionally use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising, social-media tracking pixels or public-site analytics cookies. We therefore do not currently ask visitors to accept advertising or analytics cookies that the site does not use.
The secure Candidate Portal and Administration Control Panel use browser local storage for authentication and continuity of the service requested by the user. This storage is used for security and authentication rather than advertising or cross-site tracking.
| Technology | Where | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candidate authentication token | Candidate Portal local storage | Keeps an authenticated candidate signed in while using the secure portal. | Strictly necessary / authentication |
| Candidate email and application reference | Candidate Portal local storage | Supports the candidate's requested portal session and account continuity. | Strictly necessary to the portal service as currently implemented |
| Administration authentication token and role | Administration Control Panel local storage | Authenticates authorised recruitment administrators and applies access controls. | Strictly necessary / authentication and security |
3. Why there is no advertising-cookie banner at present
UK rules provide exceptions for certain storage and access that is strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user, including authentication and security. Because the technologies identified in the current production repository are used for secure portal functionality rather than advertising or behavioural tracking, we do not present a misleading consent choice for technologies that are necessary to deliver those requested secure services.
If we introduce non-exempt analytics, advertising, tracking, embedded-media or similar technologies in future, we will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism before those technologies are used where consent is required.
4. Third-party resources
The Administration Control Panel loads the Chart.js software library from the jsDelivr content-delivery network to display recruitment charts to authorised administrators. It is not included on the public website for behavioural advertising. Loading a third-party resource can involve a technical request to that provider, such as an IP address and browser request information.
5. Your browser controls
You can clear browser cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing strictly necessary portal storage may sign you out or require you to authenticate again. Blocking necessary storage may prevent secure portal features from working correctly.
6. Changes
We will review this policy when website technologies change. If a new technology requires consent, it will not be treated as covered merely because this policy already exists.
7. Contact
